SPED Paraprofessionals will support licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs. Paraprofessionals should expect supporting students with concurrent health, sensory, physical, and/or behavioral disabilities.Key Duties:Assisting licensed staff in the classroom and in the communityWork with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presentedProvide support for students in crisisProvide personal care for students under supervisionUtilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as neededCelebrate the students you're working with - big and small victories!Minimum Requirements:Highschool diploma/ GEDExperience working with childrenPreferred Requirements:60 credits, Associates Degree, or obtained a passing score on an appropriate ADE assessmentPrevious experience working in special educationBehavioral Technician or PCA experienceCrisis prevention (CPI) trainingCPR certificationAdditional Requirements:Additional requirements include US Work Authorization.
